NEED:

BHP Billiton responded to the needs of First Nation communities to connect with Industry by partnering with . The challenge was to create a system to collect, organize and understand the skills inventories of Indigenous people with the goal of matching individuals with industry careers and training.

SOLUTION:

We worked closely with the Saskatchewan First Nations Natural Resource Centre of Excellence to create EXPORT The Indigenous Marketplace. EXPORT is a Skills Inventory and Vendor registration database connects companies with skilled and trained First Nations people, along with Pre-Qualified First Nations Owned Vendors. EXPORTDATA.ca focuses on four main areas:

Individuals: Gives access to job and training opportunities with the ability to create an online profile and access a personal resume builder.

Indigenous Businesses: Creates greater accessibility with Industry and Government partners.

Indigenous Communities: Leadership has access to member data and reports, forecasts, scholarships, a community website and tools to assist with capacity building and job creation.

Corporate Partners: Companies looking to hire contractors or employees can effectively engage Indigenous Communities.
